MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Military Grades: E3-E7 Desired Military Assignments: 15 Series - Applicants need not be assigned to the position or possess the MOS to apply or be considered for selection. Selected applicant must be assigned to a compatible Military position and attain MOS within 1 year of appointment action. -Desired qualifications: -Currently RL1 on flight status in CH-47F. -Currently on technical inspector orders. - Must be qualified to clears Red X status symbols on aircraft forms for work performed by others. ***You must provide supporting documentation in your application proving that you meet this requirement. Proof must clearly reflect your name. -- Must have three years experience and/or appropriate training in such functions astrouble shooting, repairing, maintaining, servicing, inspecting, and modifying aircraft, aircraft installed equipment and related ground support equipment. - Must have experience and/or appropriate training that would demonstrate a thorough knowledge of aircraft systems and components in electrical, fuel, hydraulic, environmental and mechanical principles. Insures proper work sequence planning and review, and a thorough understanding of technical orders, maintenance regulations and management operating procedures.-- The incumbent must possess or be eligible for award of the appropriate security clearance for this position. - The incumbent may be required for NGB Non-Aviator Flying Status and qualified for ClassIII flying duties. - Must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. - Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. - Must maintain membership in the WA Army National Guard for continued employment. - Must be able to obtain, within one year, and maintain the appropriate SECRET security clearance of the position. - Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. - The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at lease 36 months experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow. Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container. Experience performing, coordinating, and/or overseeing the work and any periodic inspections to be done on an aircraft whether it is alone, or with the assistance of other mechanics and/or workers. Some positions may include coordinating the work of other journey-level workers in other trades to work simultaneously on the aircraft. Other positions may include serving as the technical authority to advise on, examine, and approve all airframe, mechanical, electrical, and pneudraulic repairs of assigned aircraft.
