Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out for this position is performing the following tasks: Performs aircraft sheet metal repair, fabrication, modification, and structural disassembly/assembly on aircraft components, assemblies, and subassemblies; Interprets technical drawings, maintenance manuals, directives, and work instructions to complete assigned repair, manufacturing, and modification tasks; Uses precision measuring tools, jigs, fixtures, hand tools, power tools, rivet guns, presses, shears, brakes, grinders, and related equipment to fabricate and install aircraft metal components; Manufactures and installs patches, splices, reinforcements, and replacement parts using approved aircraft fasteners and standard repair methods; Works with aluminum, titanium, steel, stainless steel, alloys, plastics, honeycomb, tubing, and extrusions while complying with quality, safety, PPE, tool-control, hazardous-material, and FOD-prevention requirements.
